By downloading or using FamilySafe, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

FamilySafe is not affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc. or the maker of WA App / WhatsApp.

1. The service

FamilySafe is a local-first Android tool that lets you link your own messaging web session and monitor online / last-seen style presence for people you select.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use FamilySafe. You confirm you will use the App only for lawful family-safety / personal purposes.

3. Your account & linking

You must only link a messaging account you are authorized to use.
You are responsible for keeping your phone and linked session secure.
Unlinking or uninstalling may remove local FamilySafe data on that device.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use FamilySafe to:

Monitor people without a lawful basis (and consent where legally required)
Harass, stalk, threaten, or invade someone’s privacy unlawfully
Violate the terms of the messaging service you link
Attempt to bypass another person’s privacy settings by illegal means
Reverse engineer the App except where allowed by law

5. Accuracy & limitations

Presence information depends on the linked messaging service, network connectivity, and the other person’s privacy settings. FamilySafe cannot invent last-seen or online data that is hidden or unavailable. Background monitoring may stop if Android kills the process, battery optimizations block it, or the linked session expires.

6. No affiliation / trademarks

References to “WA App” describe the messaging platform you may already use. FamilySafe does not claim ownership of third-party trademarks. All third-party names belong to their respective owners.

7. Paid features (future)

If subscriptions or paid features are added later, they will be sold through Google Play Billing. Google’s payment terms apply to those purchases. This section will be updated when paid plans launch.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring, complete history, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilySafe and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including decisions you make based on presence information.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop distributing or updating the App. These Terms survive termination where applicable.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
